2024 Virtual Exhibition Information

Rules

Participants must be a member of the PPRPFFA.
All entered horses must be PURE Puerto Rican Paso Fino. If your horse is registered with PFHA and not also registered with PPRPFFA, the horse must be verifiably pure.
For entries from Puerto Rico, all entered horses must be registered in either the Federation, Insular, Nacional, or Department of Agriculture Central Registry.

Videos that do not comply with the rules/requirements will be rejected and sent back for resubmission. There will be no refunds issued for submissions which fail to comply with the rules/requirements.

There is a $10 flat entry fee. You can enter 1 class or all 10 for the same cost!
Please make your videos with a 2-minute maximum for ease of viewing and compiling.
Videos must be taken in horizontal (landscape) mode.
Videos must be uploaded to the PPRPFFA website using this form.

Videos will be compiled for each class and posted on Facebook.
A poll will be posted for each class for the community to vote on their favorite submission. Winners will be determined by the community, not a judge.
Winners will receive a 1st place ribbon. All other placements will receive a participation ribbon to remember the event.
There will be 1 ribbon per participant. If an individual has already won a class and wins a second class, the second place individual will receive the 1st place ribbon.

Show off something FUN about your horse!
Does your horse bow? Is your horse unafraid of pool noodles, water gun fights, or walking through a drive-thru? Does your horse like to play with a huge ball or something else?
Show us what shenanigans or fearless tomfoolery your horse can get into!

Have your Junior Horseman show their pride for their Paso Fino!
A quick ride around the ring to show off their equitation, lead line, or showing off the horse's conformation are all acceptable here.

Complete a course of your choosing showing your fearless steed going over and encountering various obstacles that may appear on the trail (logs, hay bales, going through brush, backing up, navigating a weaving pattern, etc.)

Show off your horse's versatility! Jumping, rodeo events -- if you can do it, show it off!

Show off your smooth horse! Please fill a wine glass (glass or plastic, about 12-14 fl oz) to 1/4 inch beneath the brim. Show us the filled glass on camera, do 4 laps in a small ring, and come back to show us again how little you have lost.
Wine glass must be visible in the video at all times!

Show off your horse's 4-beat gait!
Horses should go down a sounding board 4 times (2 times both ways), showing the consistent and melodious 4-beat gait the Paso Fino is known for.
Please make sure the sound is clear!

Go around a small ring once at a corto, reverse, and then once at a largo. Then stop and back up 5 steps.
